There are so many great outdoor photo shoot opportunities here in the Grand Valley. It would be impossible to show them all in one post, but I wanted to share a few of my favorites.
Colorado National Monument:
A sunset shoot on the Colorado National Monument is by far my favorite location for anything from a family photo shoot, a high school senior portrait session or even an engagement photography session.
The Riverfront Trail:
The Riverfront Trail is convenient because it runs through almost all of Grand Junction. There are a lot of different places that have great views of trees and water. There is nothing like water in the background reflecting the sunset or fall colors.
Spoons Bistro & the Artful Cup:
This is one of my “secret locations.” Many people are unaware that there is a great landscaped area just off of 12th st right by Spoons Bistro & the Artful Cup. They have everything from a fountain and waterfall to a bridge, fun butterfly shaped benches, a trail lined with expertly manicured trees and shrubs, bamboo, brick walls and everything in between.
Downtown Grand Junction:
Downtown Grand Junction is another popular option. There are a lot of opportunities for backgrounds ranging from brick walls dating to the 1800’s, to walls covered in graffiti.
